Opened in the late '80's, Solomon Pond Mall opened as an affordable alternative to Worceter's nearby Galleria Mall, which helped galvanize it's demise in the early '90's.
This 2-story mall has three anchor stores, yet two of them have elevators. J.C. Penney does not have one, as there's a mall elevator immediately outside of the store.
