Union Station's Parking Garage. Worcester, Massachusetts. Opened in 2004, this 500-space parking garage at Union Station helped aleviate the burden of hard-to-find parking, and for those who didn't want to pay the outlandish prices of the dead Galleria Parking Garage accross the street, or risk life and limb trying to get to the station. This is a self-serve station, where you grab a ticket, but then YOU pay for the time used, via use of pay machines near the stars and elevators. This gets stamped onto the ticket, as it's needed to operate the EXIT gate (can't cheat!). This parking garage is 6 stories, 5 (G-4) sheltered, and the top deck (5) is open to the elements. The floor numbering system is European, but it also matches the levels of the station itself. The "G" level is the ground level of the garage, and "1" alligns itself with the actual 1'st floor of the station itself. Also, this garage houses two Schindler 330A holeless hydraulic elevators, covering the full span at 125FPM. Video of the elevators:www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWxk1-lSpPU
