Most of the wooded area where I live, is either a former granite quarry, or part of a dead town, today called "Notown". In these cases, in the early/mid '40's, the granite quarry shut down, and a couple abandoned cars are a product of this, one way or another.

Believed to be left behind after the quarry closed. A stream runs through the parking lot now. It wasn't even there when I was in High School about 20 years ago.

Granite Street used to go farther west, meeting up with Mt. Elam Road. The Monoosnock Trail is most of this dead street section, before that part follows a spur trail.
This car is halfway (or so) between where the street currently ends, and where the spur trail picks up. Vandals did a job with it. Again, in High School, it was upright, and mostly intact.
